After wanting to live in central Texas since 1956, I made Austin my home in 1997. I began my Real Estate career in 1992 following 6 years as a High School teacher and 13 years as a Marketing Manager at Texas Instruments. I became a Broker in 2002 when I established Blackburn Properties. I feel my previous career experiences are an asset to the clients that I represent.
Having worked in Real Estate for 18 years now, I am confident and experienced representing clients with all of their real estate needs. I have represented first time home buyers, multi-million dollar home sellers, large land purchasers, developers, and clients building new homes. I especially enjoy working with home buyers and finding homes that will fit their lifestyle and budget. I've been to lots of rodeos and am proud of every silver hair on my head.
I enjoy spending my free time at the lake, so I purchased property on Lake LBJ in 1993. Since I frequent Kingsland and Lake LBJ, I decided to put my real estate skills to work in the Highland Lakes market as well. Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Granite Shoals and Kingsland have much to offer those looking for a home on the lake.
My goal as a Real Estate Broker is to develop agents into knowledgable professionals that care about customer service. My one and only policy for the firm is, "Be nice to everybody." If you can do that, you don't need more than one.
